Us boolean terms and field-specific searches
By using advanced search techniques, you can narrow down your results and find exactly what you're looking for.
- 1.Click Advanced Search page in your site.

- 2.Under the advanced search page, Type the words you are searching in at least one field to make your search under anywhere, title and content.

- 3.Anywhere: The results you will see here are from all records contained in the site with the words you have searched for.
- all these words: Searches will contain all words in this field. Example is searching death penalty. You can get 1000 documents.
- this exact word or phrase: Searches will contain the word or phrase without anything in between. Searching "death penalty" under exact word gives you fewer results.
- any of these words: Searches will contain any of the words provided, with and without anything in between.
- none of these words: Searches will exclude this word.
- 4.Title: The results you see here are from documents with titles that have the words you search.
- all these words: Searches will contain documents with titles that have all words in this field.
- this exact word or phrase: Searches will contain the word or phrase without anything in between.
- any of these words: Searches will contain any of the words provided, with and without anything in between.
- none of these words: Searches will exclude this word.
- 5.Content: The results you see here are from content that has the words you have searched for.
- all these words: Searches will contain documents with content that have all words in this field.
- this exact word or phrase: Searches will contain the word or phrase without anything in between.
- any of these words: Searches will contain any of the words provided, with and without anything in between.
- none of these words: Searches will exclude this word.
Note: Combining each search with a specific time period using date section will assist you to narrow down your search to that specific period.
