# Delete your account

Delete your Legal Information Website account if you no longer want to use it.

If you no longer want to use Legal Information Website, you can delete your account from the **My Account** page. Deleting your account cannot be reversed.

## Important

* Account deletion cannot be reversed.
* Make sure you want to permanently delete your account before you continue.

## Delete your account

1. Sign in to Legal Information Website.
2. Click on your name in the top-right menu and click [**My Account**](https://github.com/laws-africa/peachjam-user-guide/tree/main/accounts/profile/README.md).
3. Click **Delete account**.
4. Confirm that you want to delete your account.
5. Enter a reason for deleting your account.
6. Check the box to confirm that you understand the process cannot be reversed.
7. Complete the deletion process.
